ELECT
SANDRA MILLS
VOTE MARCH 31 - APRIL 2
VOTE MARCH 31 - APRIL 2
VICE PRESIDENT, WOMAN
When I think about the support I’ve received throughout my career, I realize that it’s not just about the work we do, but about the people who stand by us, who lift us up, and who help us become the best versions of ourselves. That’s why I’m running – because I want to help members, just as I’ve been helped. I want others to feel supported the way I did, and to know that their voices are heard.
The diversity of my teaching experiences has taught me to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and understand the unique challenges we face. It’s also made me appreciate the importance of working hard, paying attention to the details, and building strong, positive relationships within our team.
What drives me is simple: I care. I care about our members - YOU!, your working conditions, and your well-being. I am approachable, and I believe in fostering positive relationships that make us stronger as a team. I’m here to listen, to find answers to the questions I don’t know, and to make sure that our collective voice is heard.
Teaching isn’t easy. It’s harder than ever, with more demands on us and fewer supports available. We are doing more with less, and we can’t do it alone. We need a team that has each other’s backs, that understands the challenges we face, and that fights for the support we deserve. I commit to working hard, to standing up for you, and to ensuring that our Collective Agreement is followed and respected.
Thank you for your time, your trust, and your commitment to making our union a place where we all thrive. I would be honoured to have your support in this journey, and I promise to work tirelessly for you.
